I am excited to be reading in Listen To Your Mother again this spring! It’s a wonderful show designed “to take the audience on a well-crafted journey that celebrates and validates mothering through giving voice to motherhood–in all of its complexity, diversity, and humor.”
After spending too much time putting together my piece for last year’s show, I had decided not to write for it this year, but at the last minute a mildly funny story about overflowing “things” came together and it seemed to fit. I cackled long and hard while thinking about it, anyhow…
So come, bear witness to a group of men and women telling great stories and giving a voice to motherhood. It’s a delightful experience and a lovely local event to enjoy the weekend before Mother’s Day.
This year it will be taking place on Sunday, May 7 at 4:00pm at the St. Joseph High School Howard Performing Arts Center. Early Bird tickets are $15, and at the door they’re $20.
My reading from last year, should you be interested:
